UEFA Learning & Development Network

The UEFA Learning & Development Network connects Learning & Development professionals and education managers from UEFA’s 55 National Associations. It serves as a community platform for sharing best practices and exchanging ideas in the fields of Learning & Development and Education in European football.

With the development of the UEFA Academy, UEFA sought to establish a privileged connection with HR and Learning & Development specialists from its member associations.

This initiative aims to provide them with tailored information about the UEFA Academy’s expanding activities, while also creating a platform to share people development and capacity-building initiatives led by the associations themselves. As members of the Learning & Development Community, HR, education and L&D specialist working in European football benefit from meaningful exchanges on professional development topics, as well as insights from keynote speakers in specialised areas of expertise.

The platform also offers members the opportunity to present their own educational and people development initiatives implemented within their organisations. By doing so, they receive constructive feedback from the community and inspire others to embark on similar journeys, adapting initiatives to their unique social and national football contexts.

Some of the themes that are discussed at the meetings include developing education programmes and measuring their impacts, employees’ performance and well-being, human motivation, organisational culture, gender equity and cultural diversity and many more.

WHAT OUR EXPERTS SAY

Hannah Hopes
"I've been part of the UEFA Learning and Development Network for a number of years and have found it to be a great source of inspiration and support. The network has regular online meetings which allow for new concepts and ideas to be presented by experts The diversity of the topics covered allows me to think creatively about how the concepts could be applied within my organisation. The network is also an opportunity for me to create connections and share ideas and challenges with my L&D colleagues from across Europe. Working in a National Association is unique so having the opportunity to connect with others in similar roles is invaluable." Hannah Hopes Head of HR - Football Association of Wales
