UEFA Career Management Training (UEFA CMT)
The UEFA CMT is a unique vocational programme for players who want to manage their career in the best possible way and plan for their professional future off the pitch. It will help you understand the football eco-system and make the right decisions. Once the time is right, identify your transferable skills, gain a better understanding of the job opportunities available, and learn how your knowledge and experience can be reapplied.
Programme Overview
The programme is split in 3 blocks: Career management, Financial management and Career Transition
In this journey, you will get access to features presentations, videos, self-assessments, interviews, case studies and one-to-one discussions with your Mentor to help you analyse your strengths and personality. Our experts will present a variety of professional openings and share their insights and knowledge in a series of interactive presentations.
The career management modules will teach you everything you need to know about the laws of the game, competition formats, anti-doping, match fixing or image rights.
The second module about Financial management will provide you the right knowledge to manage your financial future and your private budget.
The Career transition module will help you acquire all the right knowledge to plan a successful career off the pitch. This part of the programme will also get you access to former professional players who will share inspiring stories about how they successfully managed their own career transition.
At the end of the programme, you will know more about yourself, you will have more tools in hand to manage and optimize your sporting career, and once the time is right: a direct access to our experts to prepare your second career road-map and action plan once the time is right.
We encourage applications from all footballers and futsal players. Players can access the different modules at their own pace.

- Application We review applications all year round as they arrive; however, there is a specific deadline for the upcoming edition of each programme. When the number of places is limited, you may have a better chance of being selected by applying earlier in the application cycle. You will either receive confirmation that you have been selected within two weeks of applying or be added to an application list and informed of the decision once the deadline has passed.
