UEFA For Players

UEFA For Players is an engaging set of learning initiatives providing all elite football players with essential information and advice to support them on and off the pitch.

Programme overview

UEFA For Players is first and foremost a mobile application designed to expand players’ football and career management knowledge at the touch of a screen. There are a wide range of educational modules on different topics, all based on immersive simulation videos and real-life case studies. The application is highly interactive and gamified, providing the latest information on football career management as well as a weekly newsfeed with up-to-date content and upcoming events.

The application will be gradually made accessible to players participating in UEFA competitions. National associations, leagues, clubs and players’ unions interested in implementing and delivering UEFA For Players can contact UEFA for more information. Dedicated seminars, including face-to-face sessions on specific topics, can also be organised on demand.

This module provides information on preparing for a second career off the pitch and the education programmes that can help in this regard.

This module contains information on diversity and inclusion and looks at how players can act as agents of change, both on and off the pitch.

This module will answer the following questions:

  • How can I use my position as a footballer to contribute to a better and fairer society?
  • What are the main ways in which I could help to foster diversity and inclusion?
  • What are the main aspects of corporate social responsibility (CSR) that I need to know about?

9. Resource center

The mobile application also contains a resource center where players can quickly access key information on subjects covered by the training modules (e.g. contact details or documents referred to in those modules).

10. Webinars

Players are able to attend webinars through the application, allowing them to discuss topical issues with experts and former/current players and have their questions answered.

11. News feed

The application is updated on a regular basis, with a news feed highlighting new content. Players can sign up to receive notifications so they do not miss anything.

12. Face-to-face seminars
